Spousal Support
Unlike child support, spousal support is not determined by a calculation, though a calculation may provide a starting point. The court will consider the incomes and assets of both parties, the marital standard of living, and each party's needs after the divorce to arrive at an amount of support and to decide how long that support will continue.
